In new street additions, Esteli fluctuated in street-construction patterns, while Caxias built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Xinle built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Esteli and Xinle both became progressively more disconnected, while Caxias grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Notably, Esteli had a more connected network than Caxias in 1975, but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
