The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Azrou plotted against Meknès - Tafilalet and Morocco. The SNDi of new construction in Azrou followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease, compared to Meknès - Tafilalet which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease and Morocco which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Azrou's incremental SNDi fell from 1.91 to 1.45 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Shahand and Al Gharraf both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Azrou fluctuated in street-construction patterns. For the full network, Azrou became progressively more connected, while Shahand became progressively more disconnected and Al Gharraf grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Azrou and Shahand have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
