The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Jiangxian plotted against Shanxi and China. All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Jiangxian's incremental SNDi rose from 3.77 to 4.82 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Jiangxian ranked 63rd out of 80 cities in Shanxi and 1451st out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Jiangxian, Aguachica, and Thun all fluctuated in street-construction patterns. For the full network, Jiangxian and Thun both became progressively more disconnected, while Aguachica fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Jiangxian had a more connected network than Thun in 1975, but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
