The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Mazabuka plotted against Southern and Zambia. The SNDi of new construction in Mazabuka followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Southern which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Zambia which rose steadily. Most recently, Mazabuka's incremental SNDi rose from 2.31 to 2.47 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Mazabuka ranked 3rd out of 4 cities in Southern and 10th out of 30 in Zambia as of 2020.

In new street additions, Mazabuka fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Ramnagri fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Vadakkenchery built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Mazabuka became progressively more disconnected, while Ramnagri fluctuated in connectivity and Vadakkenchery became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Mazabuka and Ramnagri have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
