All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. In new street additions, Chipata built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Tân Châu built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Xishui County built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Looking at the full network, Tân Châu and Xishui County both grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Chipata became progressively more disconnected. Chipata and Xishui County have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
