The SNDi of new construction in Mawza` followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Ta`izz which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Yemen which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. In terms of the aggregate network, Mawza` ranked 3rd out of 9 cities in Ta`izz and 34th out of 58 in Yemen as of 2020.

In new street additions, Mawza` fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Sasolburg built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Oceanside built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Mawza` grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Sasolburg grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Oceanside became progressively more disconnected. Mawza` and Oceanside have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
