The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Bayhan plotted against Shabwah and Yemen. The SNDi of new construction in Bayhan rose steadily, compared to Shabwah which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Yemen which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Bayhan's incremental SNDi rose from 4.8 to 6.18 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Bayhan ranked 2nd out of 2 cities in Shabwah and 32nd out of 58 in Yemen as of 2020.

In new street additions, Bayhan built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Gaoua built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Dhulauri fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Bayhan became progressively more disconnected, while Gaoua became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards and Dhulauri became progressively more disconnected. Bayhan and Gaoua have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
