The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Qa`tabah plotted against Al Dali' and Yemen. The SNDi of new construction in Qa`tabah rose steadily, compared to Al Dali' which was at its lowest in 1976-1990 and Yemen which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Qa`tabah's incremental SNDi rose from 3.81 to 4.47 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Qa`tabah ranked 1st out of 3 cities in Al Dali' and 22nd out of 58 in Yemen as of 2020.

While Qishan and Yushu both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, Qa`tabah built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street additions. For the full network, Qa`tabah became progressively more disconnected, while Qishan grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Yushu grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Qa`tabah and Qishan have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
