In new street additions, Vĩnh Yên built increasingly connected streets over time, while Longshan built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Zhaoxian built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Vĩnh Yên became progressively more connected, while Longshan became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards and Zhaoxian became progressively more disconnected. Vĩnh Yên and Longshan have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
