The SNDi of new construction in Phú Liên peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Nghệ An which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Vietnam which rose steadily. In new street additions, Phú Liên and Qinggang both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Suiyang built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Phú Liên became progressively more connected, while Suiyang became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards and Qinggang became progressively more disconnected.
