The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Đông Anh plotted against Hà Nội and Vietnam. The SNDi of new construction in Đông Anh followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease, compared to Hà Nội which peaked in 1991-2005 and Vietnam which rose steadily. Most recently, Đông Anh's incremental SNDi fell from 4.21 to 3.95 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Đông Anh ranked 3rd out of 9 cities in Hà Nội and 49th out of 126 in Vietnam as of 2020.

While Pelotas and Sivakasi both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, Đông Anh fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street additions.
