The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Tân Phú plotted against Đồng Nai and Vietnam. The SNDi of new construction in Tân Phú was at its lowest in 1991-2005, compared to Đồng Nai which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Vietnam which rose steadily. Most recently, Tân Phú's incremental SNDi rose from 5.48 to 6.4 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Tân Phú ranked 7th out of 7 cities in Đồng Nai and 110th out of 126 in Vietnam as of 2020.

In new street additions, Tân Phú built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Shuangfeng built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Tanchon built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Looking at the full network, Shuangfeng and Tanchon both grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Tân Phú became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards. Tân Phú and Shuangfeng have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
