The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Guanare plotted against Portuguesa and Venezuela. The SNDi of new construction in Guanare rose steadily, compared to Portuguesa which rose steadily and Venezuela which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Guanare's incremental SNDi rose from 3.75 to 4.65 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Guanare ranked 1st out of 2 cities in Portuguesa and 35th out of 70 in Venezuela as of 2020.

In new street additions, Guanare built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Kaiyuan fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Munshir Hat fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Guanare became progressively more disconnected, while Kaiyuan fluctuated in connectivity and Munshir Hat fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Guanare had a more connected network than Kaiyuan in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
