The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Acarigua plotted against Portuguesa and Venezuela. The SNDi of new construction in Acarigua rose steadily, compared to Portuguesa which rose steadily and Venezuela which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Acarigua's incremental SNDi rose from 4.08 to 6.35 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Acarigua ranked 2nd out of 2 cities in Portuguesa and 41st out of 70 in Venezuela as of 2020.

In new street additions, Acarigua and Linqu both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Yongzhou built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Acarigua and Linqu both became progressively more disconnected, while Yongzhou grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Notably, Acarigua had a more connected network than Yongzhou in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
