The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Maracay plotted against Aragua and Venezuela. The SNDi of new construction in Maracay peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Aragua which rose steadily and Venezuela which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Maracay's incremental SNDi fell from 6.25 to 6.17 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Maracay ranked 5th out of 5 cities in Aragua and 52nd out of 70 in Venezuela as of 2020.

In new street additions, Maracay and Salt Lake City both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Pekanbaru built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Maracay and Pekanbaru both became progressively more disconnected, while Salt Lake City grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Notably, Maracay had a more connected network than Pekanbaru in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
