All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Chirchiq's incremental SNDi rose from 5.44 to 6.23 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Chirchiq ranked 4th out of 6 cities in Toshkent and 64th out of 72 in Uzbekistan as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Chirchiq built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Banethu built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Fangxian built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Chirchiq and Fangxian both became progressively more disconnected, while Banethu became progressively more connected. Chirchiq and Banethu have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
