The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Almalyk plotted against Toshkent and Uzbekistan. The SNDi of new construction in Almalyk followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Toshkent which rose steadily and Uzbekistan which rose steadily. Most recently, Almalyk's incremental SNDi rose from 3.93 to 4.15 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Almalyk ranked 2nd out of 6 cities in Toshkent and 43rd out of 72 in Uzbekistan as of 2020.

In new street additions, Almalyk fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Chawinda built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Chapadinha built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Almalyk and Chawinda both became progressively more disconnected, while Chapadinha grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Almalyk and Chawinda have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
