The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Urgut plotted against Samarqand' and Uzbekistan. The SNDi of new construction in Urgut followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Samarqand' which rose steadily and Uzbekistan which rose steadily. Most recently, Urgut's incremental SNDi rose from 2.53 to 3.05 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Urgut ranked 1st out of 6 cities in Samarqand' and 5th out of 72 in Uzbekistan as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Urgut and Xuyong both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Luzhai built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Urgut fluctuated in connectivity, while Xuyong grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Luzhai became progressively more connected. Urgut and Xuyong have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
