The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Chortoq plotted against Namangan and Uzbekistan. The SNDi of new construction in Chortoq peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Namangan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Uzbekistan which rose steadily. Most recently, Chortoq's incremental SNDi fell from 4.33 to 4.04 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Chortoq ranked 7th out of 8 cities in Namangan and 51st out of 72 in Uzbekistan as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Chortoq and Nyaung Shwe both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Raoyang built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Chortoq grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Raoyang grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Nyaung Shwe became progressively more disconnected. Chortoq and Nyaung Shwe have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
