In new street additions, Evansville built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Biel/Bienne fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Tongxu built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Evansville and Biel/Bienne both became progressively more disconnected, while Tongxu became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards. Notably, Evansville had a more connected network than Tongxu in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
