The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Nikopol plotted against Dnipropetrovs'k and Ukraine. The SNDi of new construction in Nikopol followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Dnipropetrovs'k which rose steadily and Ukraine which rose steadily. Most recently, Nikopol's incremental SNDi rose from 3.49 to 3.56 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Nikopol ranked 4th out of 6 cities in Dnipropetrovs'k and 44th out of 75 in Ukraine as of 2020.

In new street additions, Nikopol fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Xuyi County built increasingly connected streets over time and Watampone built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Nikopol and Watampone both became progressively more disconnected, while Xuyi County became progressively more connected. Notably, Nikopol had a more connected network than Xuyi County in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
