The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Simferopol plotted against Crimea and Ukraine. The SNDi of new construction in Simferopol followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Crimea which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Ukraine which rose steadily. Most recently, Simferopol's incremental SNDi rose from 2.42 to 2.95 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Simferopol ranked 5th out of 5 cities in Crimea and 24th out of 75 in Ukraine as of 2020.

In new street additions, Simferopol fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Tonghua built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Khagaria built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Simferopol and Khagaria both became progressively more disconnected, while Tonghua grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Simferopol and Khagaria have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
