The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Akyazı plotted against Sakarya and Turkey. The SNDi of new construction in Akyazı rose steadily, compared to Sakarya which peaked in 1976-1990 and Turkey which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Akyazı's incremental SNDi rose from 3.01 to 3.62 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Akyazı ranked 3rd out of 3 cities in Sakarya and 141st out of 174 in Turkey as of 2020.
