The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Torbalı plotted against Izmir and Turkey. The SNDi of new construction in Torbalı was at its lowest in 1976-1990, compared to Izmir which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Turkey which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Torbalı's incremental SNDi rose from 1.61 to 1.91 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Torbalı ranked 3rd out of 6 cities in Izmir and 44th out of 174 in Turkey as of 2020.

In new street additions, Torbalı built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Shangsi County fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Tilili built increasingly disconnected streets over time. Looking at the full network, Shangsi County and Tilili both became progressively more disconnected, while Torbalı became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Notably, Torbalı had a more sprawly network than Tilili in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
