The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Dapaong plotted against Savanes and Togo. The SNDi of new construction in Dapaong rose steadily, compared to Savanes which rose steadily and Togo which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Dapaong's incremental SNDi rose from 2.08 to 2.85 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Dapaong ranked 2nd out of 3 cities in Savanes and 2nd out of 17 in Togo as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Dapaong and The Woodlands both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Rabak fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Dapaong and The Woodlands both became progressively more disconnected, while Rabak fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Dapaong had a more connected network than Rabak in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
