The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Sengerema plotted against Mwanza and Tanzania. The SNDi of new construction in Sengerema followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Mwanza which was at its lowest in 1976-1990 and Tanzania which was at its lowest in 1976-1990. Most recently, Sengerema's incremental SNDi rose from 1.99 to 2.14 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Sengerema ranked 1st out of 3 cities in Mwanza and 17th out of 45 in Tanzania as of 2020.

In new street additions, Sengerema fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Siltara built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Darlington built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Sengerema fluctuated in connectivity, while Siltara grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Darlington became progressively more disconnected. Notably, Sengerema had a more sprawly network than Siltara in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
