The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Kasulu plotted against Kigoma and Tanzania. The SNDi of new construction in Kasulu followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Kigoma which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Tanzania which was at its lowest in 1976-1990. Most recently, Kasulu's incremental SNDi rose from 1.59 to 1.91 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Kasulu ranked 1st out of 3 cities in Kigoma and 4th out of 45 in Tanzania as of 2020.

In new street additions, Kasulu fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Sonagar built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Caála built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Kasulu fluctuated in connectivity, while Sonagar became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards and Caála grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved.
