The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Nawa plotted against Dar`a and Syria. The SNDi of new construction in Nawa followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Dar`a which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Syria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Nawa's incremental SNDi fell from 1.26 to 1.23 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Nawa ranked 1st out of 3 cities in Dar`a and 1st out of 39 in Syria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Nawa fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Bagalkote built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Xiangfu fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Nawa became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards, while Bagalkote became progressively more disconnected and Xiangfu grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Nawa and Bagalkote have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
