The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Haylan plotted against Aleppo and Syria. The SNDi of new construction in Haylan fell steadily, compared to Aleppo which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Syria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Haylan's incremental SNDi fell from 4.42 to 2.69 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Haylan ranked 7th out of 7 cities in Aleppo and 37th out of 39 in Syria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Haylan built increasingly connected streets over time, while Andatabo fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Sakania fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Haylan became progressively more connected, while Andatabo became progressively more connected and Sakania became progressively more disconnected. Notably, Haylan had a more sprawly network than Andatabo in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
