The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Muglad plotted against West Kurdufan and Sudan. The SNDi of new construction in Muglad rose steadily, compared to West Kurdufan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Sudan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Muglad's incremental SNDi rose from 1.63 to 2.12 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Muglad ranked 3rd out of 5 cities in West Kurdufan and 44th out of 78 in Sudan as of 2020.

In new street additions, Muglad built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Keskin fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Konso fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Muglad became progressively more disconnected, while Keskin became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards and Konso fluctuated in connectivity. Muglad and Konso have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
