The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Tulus plotted against South Darfur and Sudan. The SNDi of new construction in Tulus rose steadily, compared to South Darfur which peaked in 1991-2005 and Sudan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Tulus's incremental SNDi rose from 5.04 to 7.4 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Tulus ranked 4th out of 6 cities in South Darfur and 75th out of 78 in Sudan as of 2020.

In new street additions, Tulus and Obudu both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Ksar Hellal fluctuated in its street-construction patterns.
