The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Al Mazrub plotted against North Kurdufan and Sudan. The SNDi of new construction in Al Mazrub was at its lowest in 1976-1990, compared to North Kurdufan which was at its lowest in 1991-2005 and Sudan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Al Mazrub's incremental SNDi rose from 1.52 to 1.84 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Al Mazrub ranked 4th out of 5 cities in North Kurdufan and 47th out of 78 in Sudan as of 2020.

In new street additions, Al Mazrub built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while České Budějovice built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Azamnagar built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Al Mazrub became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards, while České Budějovice became progressively more disconnected and Azamnagar grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Notably, Al Mazrub had a more sprawly network than České Budějovice in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
