The SNDi of new construction in Girona rose steadily, compared to Cataluña which rose steadily and Spain which peaked in 1976-1990. Most recently, Girona's incremental SNDi rose from 2.0 to 2.05 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Girona ranked 7th out of 15 cities in Cataluña and 31st out of 85 in Spain as of 2020.

While Bakhri and Wadsharefy both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, Girona built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street additions. For the full street network, though, all three cities follow the same trend.
