The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Fuengirola plotted against Andalucía and Spain. The SNDi of new construction in Fuengirola followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Andalucía which peaked in 1976-1990 and Spain which peaked in 1976-1990. Most recently, Fuengirola's incremental SNDi rose from 4.04 to 4.72 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Fuengirola ranked 16th out of 19 cities in Andalucía and 70th out of 85 in Spain as of 2020.

Fuengirola, Kırşehir, and Huadong all fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street construction. Looking at the full network, Kırşehir and Huadong both fluctuated in connectivity, while Fuengirola became progressively more disconnected. Fuengirola and Kırşehir have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
