The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Algeciras plotted against Andalucía and Spain. The SNDi of new construction in Algeciras followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Andalucía which peaked in 1976-1990 and Spain which peaked in 1976-1990. Most recently, Algeciras's incremental SNDi rose from 2.76 to 3.12 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Algeciras ranked 14th out of 19 cities in Andalucía and 60th out of 85 in Spain as of 2020.

In new street additions, Algeciras and Kanyama both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Al Hasahisa built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Algeciras and Al Hasahisa both became progressively more disconnected, while Kanyama fluctuated in connectivity. Algeciras and Al Hasahisa have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
