What about similarly populated cities?
While Bahraich and Anand both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, Jeonju fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Bahraich and Anand both became progressively more disconnected, while Jeonju fluctuated in connectivity. Jeonju and Bahraich have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
