The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Gimhae plotted against Gyeongsangnam-do and South Korea. The SNDi of new construction in Gimhae rose steadily, compared to Gyeongsangnam-do which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and South Korea which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Gimhae's incremental SNDi rose from 1.99 to 2.58 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Gimhae ranked 3rd out of 10 cities in Gyeongsangnam-do and 25th out of 49 in South Korea as of 2020.

In new street additions, Gimhae built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Shikarpur built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Moçâmedes fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Gimhae became progressively more disconnected, while Shikarpur grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Moçâmedes became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Gimhae and Moçâmedes have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
