The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Mboloko plotted against North West and South Africa. The SNDi of new construction in Mboloko peaked in 1991-2005, compared to North West which rose steadily and South Africa which rose steadily. Most recently, Mboloko's incremental SNDi fell from 3.45 to 3.19 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Mboloko ranked 4th out of 9 cities in North West and 28th out of 81 in South Africa as of 2020.

In new street additions, Mboloko built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Chun'an County built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Viramgam fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Mboloko and Chun'an County both became progressively more disconnected, while Viramgam fluctuated in connectivity. Mboloko and Chun'an County have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
