The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with KaMaqhekeza plotted against Mpumalanga and South Africa. The SNDi of new construction in KaMaqhekeza followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Mpumalanga which rose steadily and South Africa which rose steadily. Most recently, KaMaqhekeza's incremental SNDi rose from 2.19 to 2.5 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020.
