The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Berbera plotted against Woqooyi Galbeed and Somalia. The SNDi of new construction in Berbera peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Woqooyi Galbeed which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Somalia which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Berbera's incremental SNDi fell from 1.69 to 1.6 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Berbera ranked 2nd out of 3 cities in Woqooyi Galbeed and 5th out of 39 in Somalia as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
While Zhukovsky and Juwana both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, Berbera built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved in new street additions. For the full street network, though, all three cities follow the same trend.
