All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Kismayo's incremental SNDi rose from 1.62 to 2.97 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Kismayo ranked 1st out of 3 cities in Jubbada Hoose and 25th out of 39 in Somalia as of 2020.

In new street additions, Kismayo and Daloa both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Camagüey built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full street network, though, all three cities follow the same trend. Kismayo and Camagüey have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
