The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Borama plotted against Awdal and Somalia. While Awdal and Somalia both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Borama's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Borama's incremental SNDi rose from 1.35 to 2.2 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Borama ranked 1st out of 1 cities in Awdal and 13th out of 39 in Somalia as of 2020.
