The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Ljubljana plotted against Osrednjeslovenska and Slovenia. The SNDi of new construction in Ljubljana followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Osrednjeslovenska which peaked in 1991-2005 and Slovenia which peaked in 1991-2005. Most recently, Ljubljana's incremental SNDi rose from 3.23 to 3.72 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Ljubljana ranked 1st out of 1 cities in Osrednjeslovenska and 1st out of 2 in Slovenia as of 2020.

In new street additions, Ljubljana and Pasuruan both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Ratnagiri built increasingly disconnected streets over time.
