While Kolda and Senegal both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Vélingara's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Vélingara's incremental SNDi rose from 1.04 to 1.07 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Vélingara ranked 1st out of 3 cities in Kolda and 2nd out of 25 in Senegal as of 2020.

In new street additions, Vélingara fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Yegoryevsk built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Thiruvaiyaru built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Vélingara fluctuated in connectivity, while Yegoryevsk became progressively more disconnected and Thiruvaiyaru became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Vélingara and Yegoryevsk have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
