The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Sakaka plotted against Al Jawf and Saudi Arabia. While Al Jawf and Saudi Arabia both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Sakaka's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease. Most recently, Sakaka's incremental SNDi rose from 2.2 to 2.23 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Sakaka ranked 1st out of 2 cities in Al Jawf and 6th out of 44 in Saudi Arabia as of 2020.

While Nazran and Prizren both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, Sakaka fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Nazran and Prizren both became progressively more disconnected, while Sakaka grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Sakaka and Nazran have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
