The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Apalit plotted against Pampanga and Philippines. The SNDi of new construction in Apalit peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Pampanga which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Philippines which rose steadily. Most recently, Apalit's incremental SNDi fell from 6.9 to 4.27 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Apalit ranked 4th out of 4 cities in Pampanga and 108th out of 114 in Philippines as of 2020.

In new street additions, Apalit built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Narsipatnam built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Songmen fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Apalit grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Narsipatnam became progressively more disconnected and Songmen became progressively more connected. Apalit and Songmen have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
