Lima, Rio de Janeiro, and Shantou all fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street construction. Looking at the full network, Rio de Janeiro and Shantou both became progressively more disconnected, while Lima fluctuated in connectivity. Lima and Rio de Janeiro have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
