The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Johi plotted against Sindh and Pakistan. The SNDi of new construction in Johi followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease, compared to Sindh which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Pakistan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Johi's incremental SNDi fell from 3.19 to 2.2 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Johi ranked 12th out of 50 cities in Sindh and 30th out of 292 in Pakistan as of 2020.

While Fengqiu and Conselheiro Lafaiete both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, Johi fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Fengqiu and Conselheiro Lafaiete both became progressively more disconnected, while Johi became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Notably, Johi had a more sprawly network than Conselheiro Lafaiete in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
