The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Jand plotted against Punjab and Pakistan. The SNDi of new construction in Jand followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease, compared to Punjab which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Pakistan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Jand's incremental SNDi fell from 2.55 to 2.27 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Jand ranked 63rd out of 146 cities in Punjab and 101st out of 292 in Pakistan as of 2020.

While Kairouan and Matsusaka both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, Jand fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Kairouan and Matsusaka both became progressively more disconnected, while Jand became progressively more connected. Jand and Kairouan have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
