The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Swabi plotted against Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan. The SNDi of new construction in Swabi rose steadily, compared to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Pakistan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Swabi's incremental SNDi rose from 4.75 to 4.98 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Swabi ranked 20th out of 67 cities in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and 197th out of 292 in Pakistan as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
While Utrecht and Hatay both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, Swabi built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street additions. For the full network, Swabi and Utrecht both became progressively more disconnected, while Hatay grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved.
